I spent a good portion of yesterday asleep in a field.
I went for a walk in the woods and fields near Robertsbridge. After strolling through a sea of bluebells for most of the day I stopped in a field, lay down, and just went to sleep. There was no one around at all. It was wonderful.
It's such a natural, easy, and relaxing thing to do. I might take more opportunities to do it again; sleep outside in the sun. I just found I could let everything else go and drift off into an uninterrupted slumber. The sun went behind the clouds a few times, and despite all predictions it was not extremely warm yesterday, so I wasn't worried about sunburn or sunstroke.
I'll try to remember a camera and go there next weekend to take some photographs of the woods there.
