Maybe it's because it was the first day of a new term, but when I got home on Monday (technically yesterday, but still 'earlier this evening' to me) I felt tired enough that I just went straight to bed.
The awkward consequence of such an action is waking up at ten-to-midnight and not being sure whether you should stay awake for a few hours or try and get back to sleep. If you try to get back to sleep, you find yourself tossing and turning and generally getting nowhere. If you try to stay awake for a few hours until you're tired enough to get to sleep, you find yourself rubbing your eyes, getting hungry, and worrying you won't be able to sleep properly when the time comes.
Is it bad to eat this late/early into the night/morning?
In proper news, I have a date for my wisdom teeth extraction: this coming weekend. General anaesthetic and everything, then all four wisdom teeth are coming out of my head.
Carl Sagan is the man. Purely awesome and fascinating stuff.
PS: A couple of years ago I was sent a Dying Earth RPG supplement by accident. I contacted the company that had dispatched it and explained that there must have been a mistake. They were apologetic and told me that I could keep the book. Of course I insisted otherwise since I hadn't paid for it; so they gave me all the information I needed to post it back to them without having to pay for a stamp.
Well right now I am now thinking that a Dying Earth sourcebook would be a really neat thing to have to read.
