For today and tomorrow I am a free man. Technically I am unemployed over the weekend and I am literally "between jobs".
There were many nice things said to me on my last day, and some people even claimed that they were holding back tears at my leaving speech. Like I've said before, the staff are very nice. The fact that it is a small school means that the people know each other and it's a very friendly atmosphere.
I am hardly surprised, but my co-worker John was very reserved about saying goodbye. With him it felt more like the end of any other day.
My leaving gift seems to have been a stomach bug or something though because I've woken up this morning feeling like I have a few pounds of raw sewage sloshing around my guts. Maybe it's like that administrator guy in Deus Ex who is afraid to resign because all of his predecessors came down the the Gray Death and died. Maybe they think I somehow penetrated the facade of pleasantness and discovered the grim truth behind Robertsbridge.
Well I didn't. At least, I don't think I did. So can you stop this killswitch please?
In other news, I've started to play Dwarf Fortress. It's pretty cool, although as you would expect - it takes a while to learn to play.
