Running Man

When you were younger, and perhaps even now if you are ever a passenger, did you ever imagine a character running alongside your vehicle on long journeys by car or maybe even train? I did. I imagined a nameless speedster or a cartoony figure racing alongside the car as we cruised the motorway or wide open A-roads. I'm sure I'm not alone in that fantasy.

So I am currently reliving that childhood daydream in Prototype. One of the most fundamental abilities of your avatar, Alex Mercer, is an incredible sprinting speed. You can also jump, glide, turn your hands into living weapons, and eat people, not to mention run up, down, and around buildings, but the running is what captured me.

So now, in the game at least, I am the sprinting figure that races alongside the car.

I completed FarCry 2. It is a very enjoyable game, but I feel that the ending let the whole experience down. It also succumbs to an unfortunately common malady of a surprising number of sandbox games in that you are not permitted to continue freely roaming the game world after the main storyline is completed! Shame.

I've been wanting to play that game for ages but sadly I'm confined to 7 which doesn't support it. Also, i have no 360 anymore.

Stuck with a Wii and PS2.

Windows 7 doesn't support it eh?

My only suggestion would be to download Sun Microsystem's VirtualBox or Windows Virtual PC and build a virtual XP machine to play older games.

Doesn't 7 have a WinXP emulator built-in?
