Mr. Drum Solo

Firstly Dungeons and Dragons is being postponed for many weeks. It has already been held up long enough. At this rate I'm looking for "natural wastage" (see below). First Nick's WFRP group cancelled because not enough people could make the Sunday so Bob, Carly, Nick and I played Gorkamorka. Next Sunday we were expecting to play D&D as scheduled but somehow the message got around that WFRP would be played instead because the group had missed the previous session. Hang on, no one asked me about this - they chose to skip a session because there weren't enough people, don't change my schedule!

That was irritating but next week Bob called to say he'd be late, then he was super late so I rang him to tell him there was no point in coming over as we only had a few hours to play - not enough time. However, Bob is on holiday now and won't be back for two Sundays. Get's better and better doesn't it? And before he left he told me that his group would be playing Dark Heresy on the first Sunday he was back because "it effects more people". Great. So we're missing five sessions of D&D.

By natural wastage I'm saying that if Sam or Nick is pissed off enough to kill Bob's character in-game then I won't stop them.

In other news I seem to have narrowed down the search on what the hell is wrong with my PC. Of course it would have to be the most expensive component wouldn't it? The graphics card. Well it's either that or the PCI-E slot on the motherboard. So do I buy an expensive graphics card only to find out that the PCI-Express slot is buggered, or do I buy a cheap (yeah right) PCI-E card only to find that it works fine and then have to buy an expensive card afterwards anyway? I've ordered a replacement card from eBuyer, once it arrives and I've installed it I'll post my 3dmark score (if I remember) and maybe some Crysis screenshots (because, you know, there aren't enough on the Internet already).

On the way home from work I got stuck in a queue up to some temporary traffic lights. In a BT van coming the other way I saw the driver, in a world of his own, thrashing out a drum solo on imaginary instruments. It sort of tickled me.

In Gorkamorka news, I am working on the Scrap Nooz but don't expect it to be immediate. I found out that Krokfang killed Bob's nob. Well, technically Krokfang chucked him out of a trukk and left him to crawl around in the dirt until he died from blood loss (or whatever orks die of - they're hard as nails). That means he's a nobkilla now. To be feared even more than Carly's nobcatchers! Unfortunately he didn't do much else in that fight as he got into combat with someone using a krak stikkbomb as a club. Needless to say the stikkbomb went off (I'm guessing Krokfang shot it or parried it or it just broke open on his head) and took both warriors out of the fight. Krokfang came out of the battle with "Thick Skulled" so perhaps the explosion fused his skull or something? A lot of other stuff happened including my new trakk being completely destroyed and one of my ladz ending up either frenzied or stupid every battle. Eh, not too shabby I suppose.
