They've offered me the job!
The pay and hours are both much better than what I'm dealing with here, and there is time set aside for training and such so I'm "totally stoked". I am not handing my notice in yet as I have to wait for confirmation in writing before I do anything "hasty".
I was in Hawkhurst over the weekend again, this time for Sam's birthday and Mothers Day both at once. We had a meal out and Sam seemed to be pretty happy that we were all there for his twenty-first. It was nice, but I'm still tired. I've not had a weekend on which I can just rest for a while now, and I think the lack of respite might be catching up with me.
I'm supposed to be going to a Viking Society Banquet this coming Saturday, but I might just called the Jarl and give it a miss. There's a lot I want to do, including view that flat I saw recently if it's still there. Because I was away this weekend, I still need to call around about driving lessons and haven't made any progress on that book I am writing.
Loads of new computers have arrived at work, but I can't do that much with them as I've only room for one at a time on my desk. The one that's replacing my heap of junk works like a charm, but won't downgrade to Windows XP - if I leave it on Windows 7 it clashes with our system's anti-virus. Can't win 'em all I suppose.
I'm still waiting for my flat tyre to be seen to. Being stranded is vexing.
