I was looking at Picture Wars, which apparently started on the FacePunch Studio forums, and I might give 'em a go.
In short, it's a forum/email game in which two (or more) players create and manipulate their race/army of pixelated creatures/troops and play for domination or survival on Worms-esque maps. The players take turns to declare their actions and illustrate the outcomes.
I was thinking of making a Flood-inspired parasite race, and perhaps renovate some drawings I did when I was younger to create a lighter race that might prove more challenging to play.
There are some really innovative ideas on the web that players have come up with. Anyway, it's just a thought since Mount & Blade has become almost unplayable since my faction's leader keeps signing peace treaties instead of declaring war on anything that moves. It's a game built around mercenary companies and fighting and sieges and medieval warfare, not peace. So the game gets pretty dull when there's no one to fight.
In other news, my co-worker John has been signed off work for this week and might not even come back for another week after that! Something to do with a chest infection.
