Yolk's on You

Sam, Richard, Adam, Nicola, and Nick were planning on going to Thorpe Park yesterday. Sam stayed in Fairlight for Saturday night so they could all get up bright and early to head off in the morning.

I went over, just to visit, and spent a few hours there before heading home at what must have been one-o'-clock in the morning. I'd walked over there and had planned on walking back. It's only about three miles between Ore and my flat in St. Leonards; not far. So I was perturbed on Sunday morning to find that my legs were cramped up and felt as though I'd run eight miles rather than walked six.

An odd thing I encountered on the way home, though. Was coming this close to being egged. A car full of comedians seemed to think I'd be a viable target for drive-by practise. I think they need more practise though because their aim was abysmal and the only thing they managed to hit was the pavement. I also saw someone who was either a monk, or dressed up as a monk. The garb was fairly extravagant so I would guess that it was a fancy dress costume.

My legs are still pretty stiff this morning. All weekend I've had a stiff neck too. The aching kept me awake; that plus the strange dreams I was having about foiling a plot to break into and burgle a house left me without a lot of sleep last night.

I don't know how the Thorpe Park trip went. The weather wasn't bad, so I assume it can't have been that bad. Theme parks aren't really my thing, and I had a hundred other things to think about on Sunday anyway. So, of course, there was no Dark Heresy this weekend. It should still be on the cards for this coming Sunday though. I've got a pretty nifty adventure written up. I just have to place a character for Matt who might become a regular to the RP sessions.
