With all the excitement my test and new bike have caused I haven't had space to blog about other things. And with what has been going on this month it looks like I may exceed the average ten posts per month.
So, what else has happened recently?
Nick got a conviction notice for speeding along The Ridge on his CG125. He was caught on a speed camera doing 47mph. The road is a 30mph zone all along it. The Ridge goes through lots of residential areas, past two schools, the local "Conquest" hospital, a veterinary surgery, and several busy junctions. Nick admits that he usually speeds to and from work, although I don't know why. Perhaps he needs to get out on some big rides on A-roads to get that need for speed out of his system, or maybe he's just being daft and this speeding fine (and the points on his licence) will encourage a little more defensive riding from him.
Crystech have, once again, failed to get my PC picked up. I don't know whether it's the guy on the end of the phone not getting through to the courier, if it's the courier failing to find the address, or if it's something else entirely but this is the third week my PC has been sitting downstairs waiting to be picked up. Come on guys, this is ridiculous! The computer will be obsolete by the time they get around to fixing it! I don't really know what to do with this problem, I keep calling and rearranging pick-up times but nothing ever seems to come of it.
Nicola stepped on the router so we had to get another one. It's identical to the previous model but is being awkward to set up. Not that it effects me very much (see previous paragraph).
I hear Condemned 2 is out. I loved the first Condemned. However, right now all I can think about right now is riding my Versys around.
Speaking of which, I'm heading over to Tenterden to pick Matt up and pillion him into Hastings. That should be a blast. I'm also taking the panniers so we can bung any luggage we need into there. It was a struggle this morning to manipulate the panniers and seat but hopefully that's just something that comes with practise as no one on the Versys forums has trouble with them.
