This weekend will consist of: finding a box to put my PC in so it can be shipped to Crystech, although now I'm having doubts about doing that. If it's taken this long just to sort out the logistics, how long will it take for them to fix the computer and get it back to me? Augh. I could end up being a console fanboy by the end of this. I've also got my final lesson with Trevor in preparation for my test on Tuesday, I don't think there's too much to polish up on but I may have to work on my emergency stopping as I've been told I'm breaking too slowly and there should be more suspension bounce after the braking. And then we have Dungeons and Dragons after that; hopefully the party won't be delving into more haunted forests and risking their lives needlessly. After all, there will be plenty of story-related reasons to do that very soon.
I got my bike back from the garage as I had a new rear tyre fitted (to replace the balding tyre I already had), it turned out that my front brake pads were wearing thin too so I asked for those to be replaced as well. Including labour the cost came to just over £100. I'm sure I'll look back fondly on such meagre costs when tyres alone will be at least a hundred quid each. The guys at Gedge advised that I take it easy on the new tyre for about fifty miles. That's cool with me, it would be easier if it wasn't raining though.
Sam was pleased with his birthday present. I got him "The Myway Code" which is a satirical parody on the Highway Code. He was laughing at only a few pages into it so I guess he liked it. He also received a book on bee keeping (I think Granny Weatherwax left an impression on him), and a digital photo frame which goes well with the huge digital camera he bought last month.
Nick bought Guitar Hero III for the 360 so he and Adam have been rocking out on that a lot recently.
Other than that I don't have much to update the ol' blog with. I'm sure I'll be able to relate the D&D session on Monday, and on Tuesday I can write about how my practical test went but until then... well this is the calm before the storm. The last gasp before the sneeze...
