Although I will admit that the effects are somewhat lessened since my previous mention of it, the withdrawal symptoms from Corfe Castle are still evident.
I suppose one way to summarise it would be that more things seem less fulfilling now. Or rather, their shallow nature is more easily perceived. Perhaps that is a little dramatic, but at the moment that is how it feels. I can only liken it to the sensation experienced after watching a particularly good action film, then returning to the same bland safety-net-riddled routine. You feel energised and inspired, but simultaneously impotent as there is nothing to fuel with your vigour and determination.
I have also been playing far too much Dwarf Fortress. It can get very addictive, and certainly proves that powerful gameplay can far outweight graphical splendour in a game's attraction.
I am thinking of trying a Dwarftopia challenge.
